... tastes better
Beautiful Mecklenburg
Obstgut Coorssen is located in beautiful Mecklenburg. For over 100 years, this region has
been a traditional fruit and vegetable growing area. The soil quality and the climate in
Mecklenburg provide ideal conditions for our fruit. We manage a total area of more than
1000 hectares on the edge of the Schaalsee biosphere reserve in the district of Ludwigslust -
Parchim.
Experience since 1930
With our family business, we have been growing fruit and farming since 1930. Since 1990, we
have set the focus of fruit growing on apple production and cultivate 16 different apple
varieties. By means of this comprehensive range we cater for the different tastes of the
consumer
Flexible as a result of our own processing
Since 1993 we have produced our own apples to make apple puree and various other fruit
preparations. The filling of jars with apple puree is done within our own plant. From
cultivation to the jar, our fruit stays in one hand. Accordingly, there are no transport routes
and every production step can be traced.
Also gladly organic
The independent company Bio-Obst Peter Coorssen cultivates its apple varieties according to
organic regulations. Additionally, the family business is Naturland certified. As dessert fruit
we have Elstar, Jonagored and Jonagold in our range. For the production of apple puree we
mainly grow Golden Delicious and Seestermüher. Since 2018 we produce raspberries and
blackberries according to organic guidelines.
The choice is yours
We pack for you as individual goods, Foodtainer, grower bags or bags. We are QS, organic
and regionally certified. With our modern systems, we meet special customer requirements
flexibly.
Independent with our own logistics
With our own vehicle fleet we are able to deliver products quickly. There is no unnecessary
transfer of loads, which does not interrupt the cold chain, thereby preserving the quality of
our products.
Well known on television
In September 2015, the editors of the ProSieben program “Galileo” reported on our apple
puree production. From the harvest to bottling, every step was accompanied by the camera.
